A leather coat is a short jacket-length garment that is generally worn over another garment or article of clothing, typically made from the animal's tanned hide or a blend of animal skins and leather. The leather used in making a leather coat can be cow, goat, horse, sheep, or skin. The leather used is often dyed black, red, or various other shades of brown; however, a wide variety of other colors is also possible.
